SEE WHY THE BUSY STRETCH HIGHWAY OF GERMAN WAS CLOSED
German Autobahn busy stretch near Hannover was
immediately shut down after unexploded World War II-era bombs were found during
construction work.
A British Specialists unearthed a British bomb in one location, an American
aerial mine found another and unidentified incendiary bombs was discovered in a third location, according to the report
reaching me.
The A2 Autobahn was band completely in the area, and 7,500
residents who lived nearby homes were mandated to evacuate while the first two
bombs were hurriedly destroyed on Sunday, and the others were taken away.
What surprised me was that even after more than 70 years
after the end of the war, such things are finds in a developed land like
Germany. Hannover surfers major target form the Allies –that on one night alone
more than 260,000 bombs were dropped on the city in 1943.
